Iraqi security forces conducted several raids in different areas of Salaheddine on Monday (June 27th), arresting six terror suspects with links with the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL), the Iraqi police in Salaheddine province said.
The detainees include a senior leader wanted in connection with several terror-related cases, Salaheddine police spokesman Hasan al-Majmaie told Al-Shorfa.
"The raids were conducted with the co-operation of residents in al-Dor, Tikrit and Samarra," he said.
