Three disguised "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) elements were arrested while trying to pass through a police checkpoint in western Kirkuk late Thursday evening, the Iraqi police said Friday (June 24th).
The three suspects are wanted on terrorism charges, police spokesman in Kirkuk Col. Salam al-Jaff told Al-Shorfa.
"They were attempting to cross a checkpoint on the western outskirts of the city, disguised in Bedouin traditional clothing," he said, adding that they are undergoing interrogation before being handed over to judicial authorities.
