Three civilians were killed and nine others were wounded in a terror blast targeting an outdoor market in al-Tarmiya, northern Baghdad, the Iraqi police in Baghdad said Friday (June 17th).
"An improvised explosive device (IED) exploded before noon on Friday near an outdoor market in al-Mashahda in al-Tarmiya, killing three and wounding nine others," Lt. Col. Dhiya Abdullah al-Mashhadani of al-Tarmiya police told Al-Shorfa.
The blast caused material losses in a number of shops, he said, blaming the attack on the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL).
