Iraqi forces raid 5 ISIS hideouts in Diyala

Five "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) hideouts were raided and a similar number of militants were arrested in Diyala, the Iraqi Ministry of Defence said Tuesday (September 17th).

In a high-level operation carried out based on accurate intelligence, the military intelligence units in the Diyala Operations Command, in co-operation with the Counter-Terrorism Service, raided ISIS hideouts in al-Nada area in the town of Mandali, north-east Diyala, the ministry said in a statement.

"Various weapons and ammunition, mortars, shoulder-mounted rockets, and highly dangerous explosives were seized," the statement said.
