Iraqi forces uncover 48 IEDs planted by ISIS in Anbar

Iraqi forces have found 48 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) left behind by the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) in Anbar province, the Anbar Operations Command said Thursday (August 15th).

"Units from Anbar Operations Command’s Field Engineering and the 10th Division’s Field Engineering kicked off a new large-scale operation to remove IEDs left behind by ISIS in different areas of Anbar," the command said in a statement.

Dozens of IEDs of various types were found in northern and western Ramadi and were safely detonated, it added.
