ISIS weapons and explosives cache destroyed in Anbar desert

An underground weapons and explosives cache belonging to the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) has been destroyed in a military operation backed by international coalition warplanes in the Anbar desert, the al-Jazeera and al-Badiya Command said Thursday (July 18th).

"The cache, a steel caravan hidden underground in Wadi al-Husseiniyat in Anbar's desert, contained medium and light weapons, ammunition, explosives, computers and communications devices," commander Maj. Gen. Qassim al-Muhammadi told Diyaruna.

It was destroyed by coalition warplanes without causing any damages, he added, noting that it contained more than two tonnes of explosives and ammunition.
