Five "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) elements have been killed in an international coalition airstrike in western Anbar, the Iraqi Ministry of Defence said Monday (June 24th).
"Acting on accurate intelligence from al-Jazeera Operations Command, international coalition warplanes tracked and destroyed a vehicle carrying terrorists north-east of Akashat, between al-Rutba and al-Qaim," the ministry said in a statement.
All five ISIS elements, including a senior leader, were killed in the airstrike, it said.
