ISIS logistical support chief in Diyala arrested

Iraqi security forces have arrested the official in charge of logistical support for the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) in Diyala province, Iraq’s Military Intelligence Directorate said Wednesday (June 12th).

Security forces arrested the man in Khazraj village, in the area of al-Neda, the directorate said in a statement.

He had been providing logistical support to ISIS elements who are part of the group's "wilayat Diyala", it said, adding that the militant also provided information on Iraqi security forces and those who co-operate with them to ISIS.

"The detained terrorist is wanted under an arrest warrant issued according to article 4 of the anti-terrorism law," the statement said.
