ISIS hideout in Anbar desert destroyed

Six "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) gunmen were killed Tuesday morning (April 2nd) in an airstrike targeting their hideout in the Anbar desert, the Anbar Operations Command said.

"Acting on intelligence and aerial images of the movements of a terror cell that fled and settled in Anbar desert, Iraqi warplanes launched an airstrike and destroyed a hideout in Wadi Houran," commander Maj. Gen. Mahmoud al-Falahi told Diyaruna.

The militants were inside the hideout with different weapons and explosives in their possession, he said.

"One oil tanker, two vehicles and various weapons were also destroyed in the airstrike," he said.
