An "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) explosives expert has been arrested in a joint security operation in south-west Kirkuk, the Iraqi police in Kirkuk province said Sunday (March 10th).
"Joint security forces arrested Nawaf al-Danou, an ISIS explosives expert, at a residential building where he was staying in south-west Kirkuk," Col. Malath Hussein of Kirkuk police told Diyaruna.
Al-Danou had taken part in many terror attacks, and served as an expert in making explosives, rigging vehicles with explosives and preparing improvised explosive devices (IEDs) for ISIS, he said.
