Iraqi forces arrest 2 ISIS elements who infiltrated Mosul from Syria

Two "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) elements were arrested in Mosul days after they infiltrated from Syria into Iraq, the Iraqi Ministry of Defence said Monday (December 17th).

Acting on intelligence tip-offs, the army arrested two terror elements in an ambush in Badoush, western Mosul, the ministry said in a statement.

"The terrorists had infiltrated into Iraq by hiding among displaced people returning from al-Hawl refugee camp in Syria," it said, noting that "they were wanted under arrest warrants issued according to article 4 of the anti-terrorism law".
