Two "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) elements with rockets in their possession were arrested in Ninawa province Thursday (December 13th), the Iraqi Interior Ministry said.
The al-Karama police "arrested two ISIS terrorists for whom arrest warrants had been issued for terrorism-related charges", ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Saad Maan said in a statement.
"Security forces seized 12 small rockets and a number of offensive and defensive grenades in their possession," he said, noting that they were arrested in al-Karama neighbourhood in eastern Mosul.
