Iraqi army rebuilds schools in Anbar

The Anbar Operations Command on Monday (December 3rd) said it has completed the reconstruction of schools that were damaged in "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) attacks.

"The army's engineering units have repaired and reconstructed a number of primary, middle and secondary schools in Anbar," the command said in a statement.

"The 10th Division’s 39th and 40th brigades have repaired and reconstructed the Zaatar and al-Hadbaa schools which ISIS gangs had destroyed, denying our children the chance to study there in the last four years," the statement said.

Two other schools in western Ramadi -- a primary and a secondary school -- were reopened, much to the joy of the local population and teachers, it said.
