Iraqi forces dismantle ISIS 'rigging' cell in Anbar

The largest "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) cell involved in rigging vehicles has been dismantled in Anbar, the Anbar Operations Command said Tuesday (November 13th).

Iraqi forces on Monday arrested the members of an ISIS cell known as Abu Abdullah al-Ansari, which specialises in rigging vehicles with explosives and making bombs and improvised explosive devices (IEDs), commander Maj. Gen. Mahmoud al-Falahi told Diyaruna.

The cell has targeted civilians and security and military forces, he said.

"All six members of the cell were arrested in different areas of Ramadi and its suburbs," he said, adding that weapons, explosives and dangerous chemicals were seized in the operation.
