Iraqi army dismantles terror cell in Samarra

The Samarra Operations Command on Thursday (November 8th) announced that a six-member terror cell in Samarra had been dismantled.

“Iraqi army and Counter-Terrorism Service forces carried out a carefully-planned, intelligence-based operation in Samarra and dismantled a dangerous terror cell,” said Samarra Operations Commander Maj. Gen. Emad al-Zuhairi.

Joint forces seized explosives and supplies in the possession of cell members that had been intended for use in carrying out terror operations, he said.

"All necessary legal measures have been taken against them," he added.
