Joint Iraqi forces, supported by army warplanes, have arrested three "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) elements after they spotted and destroyed their vehicle in Anbar province, Iraq's Joint Operations Command said Wednesday (October 3rd).
The three terrorists left their vehicle and "fled after they saw our planes", command spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Rasul said in a statement. "But the command’s security units chased and arrested them" south of al-Rutba.
"The army’s warplanes also destroyed five tunnels in al-Hadr" between Ninawa and Anbar provinces as part of efforts to support the Salaheddine Operations Command, he said.
