Six "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) tunnels have been destroyed between al-Siniya and Haditha, the Iraqi Ministry of Defence said Tuesday (September 25th).
"In co-ordination with the Salaheddine Operations Command, Iraqi warplanes destroyed six tunnels containing 10 improvised explosive devices (IEDs), food supplies and an electric generator in al-Siniya Island, near Haditha," ministry spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Rasul said in a statement.
The army also hit other targets, including two vehicles packed with explosives, an oil tanker and "an excavator believed to be used in digging and constructing underground shelters in the desert", he said.
