"Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) elements killed at least six members of the same family in a raid on their house in al-Shora neighbourhood, southern Mosul, al-Shora mayor Khaled al-Jar said Thursday (August 30th).
"ISIS gunmen stormed the house of Ali Hussein whose son works for the police, and killed the father, mother, and their four children, including two daughters," al-Jar told Diyaruna.
"The terrorists fled to a desert area after the cowardly attack, and the police and army forces are currently conducting operations in search of them with the help of locals," he said, adding that the Iraqi air force is also providing monitoring and tracking support.
