Iraqi police and rapid response units arrested seven terror suspects in separate operations carried out over the past 48 hours, the Interior Ministry said Friday (August 17th).
“Acting on intelligence tip-offs, joint police and rapid response forces carried out a large-scale operation in several areas in western, southern and northern Baghdad,” ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Saad Maan told Diyaruna.
Security forces arrested seven men who were wanted on various terrorism-related charges, he said.
Four of the men were found to have various types of explosives, weapons and ammunition in their possession, Maan added.
