Iraqi forces arrest 4 ISIS elements in Mosul

Four "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) elements who were moving in Mosul using fake IDs have been arrested, the Ninawa Operations Command said Monday (August 13th).

The four were included on the "dangerous terrorists list" in Mosul and were arrested in separate security operations Sunday and Monday morning, in al-Zahraa, al-Nabi Younis, al-Karama and al-Senaa, Ninawa police chief Brig. Gen. Hamad Namis al-Jubury told Diyaruna.

"Weapons and materials used in making improvised explosive devices [IEDs] and rigging vehicles were found when the buildings where they were staying were stormed," he said.

The four terrorists assumed several positions in ISIS during its occupation of Mosul, al-Jubury said.

"One of them served on the ISIS security committee and took part in killing [civilians], cutting their hands and throwing them from high-rise buildings in implementation of rulings issued by the group against citizens whom it said disobeyed its orders," he noted.
