Iraqi forces have since Tuesday (July 31st) cleared 24 villages southwest of Kirkuk of "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) remnants, the Iraqi Ministry of Defence said Wednesday.
"Joint forces searched and fully cleared 24 villages, dismantled 325 improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and uncovered one bomb-making workshop and two explosive vests," the ministry said.
Three terrorists were arrested in the same operation, it said.
