37,000 displaced people return home from Najaf

More than 37,000 displaced people have returned from Najaf province to three Iraqi provinces, Iraq’s Human Rights Commission said Tuesday (July 31st).

A total of 37,290 displaced people have returned from Najaf to Ninawa, Anbar and Kirkuk after those provinces were liberated from the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS), commission member Fadhil al-Ghazawi said in a statement.

"They returned voluntarily after their liberated areas were rehabilitated and services were restored," he said.
