Iraqi forces arrested a wanted "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) militant who had taken part in many terror attacks in Anbar province, Iraq's Joint Operations Command said Monday (July 9th).
"In co-ordination with the Intelligence Agency, the army has arrested a dangerous ISIS leader in an ambush in al-Tarabsha area of Ramadi Island," command spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Rasul said in a statement.
"The wanted terrorist had taken part in overseeing, planning and executing major terrorist operations ... that targeted our security forces and innocent civilians," he said.
