Iraqi forces set up an ambush for three "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) elements, which led to their arrest in al-Tanak neighbourhood of Mosul, the Joint Operations Command said Thursday (July 5th).
"The Military Intelligence Directorate’s 20th Division carried out a high-level operation based on accurate intelligence and continuous monitoring, luring a three-member terrorist cell to a carefully-planned ambush," the command said in a statement.
The cell members are wanted according to article 4 of the anti-terrorism law, he said, noting that they are prominent ISIS members.
