SDF nab prominent French extremist in Syria

Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in northern Syria on Thursday (May 24th) announced the capture of Adrien Guihal, an extremist who has claimed attacks in France on behalf of the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS).

"The SDF's intelligence services conducted an operation on May 19th that led to the capture of a group of ISIS jihadists led by Adrien Guihal, known as Abu Osama al-Faransi," the Arab-Kurd alliance said in a statement.

Thought to be among the most dangerous members of the large French contingent in the ranks of ISIS, Guihal was detained with his wife, AFP reported.
