Iraqi forces apprehended eight "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) elements in various operations in eastern Mosul, Ninawa police chief Brig. Gen. Hamad Namis al-Jubury said Thursday (May 3rd).
"Security forces carried out a surprise operation and arrested eight ISIS elements for whom arrest warrants had been issued according to article 4 of the anti-terrorism law," he said.
"The detainees were arrested Wednesday night and early Thursday morning in various areas of eastern Mosul," he said.
