A terror cell has been dismantled in a "successful" operation south of Mosul, the Ninawa Operations Command said Wednesday (March 21st).
"Joint Iraqi forces have carried out a new successful operation as part of efforts to crack down on the remnants of the 'Islamic State of Iraq and Syria' (ISIS), and dismantled a dangerous terror cell south of Mosul," commander Nejm Eddin Karim al-Jubury told Diyaruna.
Eleven ISIS militants were found hiding in three separate buildings in the area of Hamam al-Alil, and were arrested, he said.
The buildings were simultaneously raided after the entire area was besieged, he said, noting that weapons and explosives were seized in the operation.
