Iraqi forces arrested 23 "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) elements in operations carried out in Mosul on Wednesday night (March 7th) and Thursday, the Iraqi police in Ninawa province said.
Joint forces from the Ninawa police command and the Iraqi army’s 20th Division Command carried out raids in search of ISIS elements in eastern and western Mosul and in three villages around the city, Ninawa police chief Brig. Gen. Hamad Names al-Jubury told Diyaruna.
Another person wanted on terrorism charges was also arrested in Wadi Hajar, western Mosul, he said.
