Nine terror suspects were arrested in a two-day operation carried out in different areas of Diyala province, the Diyala police command said Tuesday (January 9th).
"Diyala police forces are proceeding with their operations to crack down on 'Islamic State of Iraq and Syria' (ISIS) cells and elements and terror suspects," the command said in a statement.
Police forces in the province also seized weapons and explosives in the operation, which took place on Monday and Tuesday with the aim of establishing security across Diyala and consolidating stability in the newly-liberated areas, the statement said.
