Airstrike targets ISIS hideout in Wadi Houran

An airstrike on an "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) position in Anbar's desert on Thursday (November 30th) killed 27 extremists, a senior Iraqi military commander said.

The Iraqi air force targeted an ISIS position in Wadi Houran in Anbar’s desert, Anbar operations commander Maj. Gen. Mahmoud al-Falahi told Diyaruna.

It was the second airstrike against ISIS positions in the area in 24 hours, he said, noting that 27 of the group's fighters were killed in the operation.

"Several vehicles, oil tankers, one mobile rocket launcher and a weapons cache were also destroyed in the airstrike," he added.
