The UN has started rehabilitating 20 schools in Fallujah that were destroyed by the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) during its control of the Anbar province city, the Fallujah Educational Directorate said Monday (November 27th).
"A UN organisation on Sunday began the rebuilding and rehabilitation of 20 primary schools in Fallujah destroyed in ISIS terrorist operations," Fallujah Educational Director Mohammed al-Halbusi said in a statement.
This is part of "efforts by various international organisations, mainly the UN, to help ensure a better life for Fallujah residents", he said.
