Iraqi forces thwart terror attacks in Baghdad

Three terror attacks involving improvised explosive devices (IEDs) have been thwarted in Baghdad, the Interior Ministry said Thursday (November 16th).

"Iraqi forces have thwarted terrorist attacks involving three IEDs, including one planted near a school and two near a vegetables market, in west and south Baghdad," ministry spokesman Brig. Gen. Saad Maan told Diyaruna.

"The operation took place after local residents reported one of the IEDs and a police patrol discovered the other two," he said.

Four suspects and one wanted terrorist were arrested in the same operation, he said.
