Iraqi police nab ISIS terror cell in Anbar

A 12-member "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) terror cell has been busted in Anbar province on Tuesday (September 26th), Anbar police chief Maj. Gen. Hadi Kassar Erzaij said.

The cell was involved in horrific crimes, including the recent execution of a policeman and all of his family members at their home in northern Ramadi two weeks ago, Erzaij said at a press conference held in Ramadi.

"Weapons, explosives, ammunition and money were seized during the operation," he said, adding that a tip provided by a citizen eventually led to the capture of the cell members.

"The security forces are questioning the cell members to obtain further details on crimes they committed against people in the province," he said.
