A senior "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) leader has been killed in an Iraqi airstrike in north-east Diyala province, the Tigris Operations Command said Friday (September 22nd).
"An airstrike on Thursday night targeted orchards in al-Makhisa, 25 kilometres north-east of Baqubah," Lt. Gen. Mizher al-Azzawi said in a statement.
The airstrike killed a senior ISIS leader and four of his aides, al-Azzawi said.
