Several sealed roads have been reopened in Baghdad's al-Karkh area, the Baghdad Operations Command said Thursday (May 18th).
"The reopened roads are in al-Dawaim-al-Rai area and Qatr al-Nada in al-Karkh," the Command said in a statement.
This step is expected to alleviate some of the traffic burden for the residents of those areas, the statement said.
The Baghdad Operations Command had previously said it would reopen a number of closed roads in Baghdad's al-Karkh and al-Rusafa areas to help ease traffic congestion.
