The Iraqi police in Kirkuk province arrested six members of an "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) terror cell in two separate operations on Thursday and Friday (May 5th), a police spokesman told Diyaruna.
"Joint police-Peshmerga forces launched two raids in south-west Kirkuk and arrested the members of an ISIS cell, seizing weapons, bombs and an explosive vest in the operation," Kirkuk police spokesman Col. Salam al-Jaf said.
The arrests were made based on intelligence information and the confessions of a terror suspect who is under investigation, he said.
