Iraqi police free 2 Yazidi girls in Mosul

Iraqi forces in Mosul have freed two Yazidi girls who were kidnapped by the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) in 2014, the Ninawa police command said Tuesday (April 25th).

"The police freed a Yazidi girl at a house in al-Rahmaniya village in the eastern side of Mosul, hours after Iraqi forces freed another girl in al-Tanak neighbourhood" in western Mosul, assistant Ninawa police chief Col. Sattar Saad told Diyaruna.

"One of the girls is in bad condition and was taken to a nearby hospital," he said.
