International coalition fighter jets have targeted the so-called "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) sharia court in western Anbar inflicting heavy losses on the group, Anbar Operations Command said Wednesday (March 1st).
"A coalition airstrike on Tuesday night destroyed ISIL's sharia court in al-Qaim, near the Syria border," Anbar operations commander Maj. Gen. Mahmoud al-Falahi told Diyaruna.
"At least 20 terrorists were killed and their military assets were destroyed in the airstrike," he said.
Another airstrike hit an ISIL convoy nearby, killing those on board, al-Falahi said.
