An active member of the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) was arrested after his father informed the police about his whereabouts, the Iraqi police in Anbar province said Monday (February 13th).
"The police received a call from a man who said his son was an ISIL member, giving details about his whereabouts," Col. Mohammed al-Assafi of Anbar police said.
"He begged us to arrest his son so that he could not kill more innocent people," al-Assafi told Diyaruna.
The suspect is wanted for terrorism-related charges, he said.
