An airstrike in Syria on Tuesday (January 3rd) killed at least 25 members of Al-Nusra Front (ANF), also known as Fatah al-Sham Front, including senior figures, AFP reported.
Unidentified aircraft hit one of the group's most important bases in Syria, in the north-western province of Idlib, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights director Rami Abdel Rahman said.
Among the dead were leading members of the group, who were holding a meeting there, he said, without identifying them.
The strike came four days into a fragile ceasefire between Syria's regime and major opposition groups brokered by Russia and Turkey.
The truce does not cover ANF or the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL).
