"Coalition fighter jets, in co-ordination with the Iraqi Intelligence Directorate, launched last night an airstrike targeting an important ISIL post in Mosul's al-Dandan neighbourhood," the statement said.
"Ten terrorists, including prominent ISIL element Abu Rataj, were killed in the airstrike," the statement said.
