Reconstruction of Fallujah bridge near complete

Anbar provincial authorities have rehabilitated most of the bridge west of Fallujah that was destroyed during the city's liberation operation, Anbar’s Roads and Bridges Directorate said Sunday (September 11th).

The directorate "has completed 90% of the rehabilitation of the new Fallujah bridge, and the only remaining part is backfilling the two sides of the bridge," directorate head Mahdi Abd Farhan said in a statement.

The 155-million Iraqi dinar ($131,000) project was completed in 45 days, he said, noting that the "bridge is extremely important as it links central Fallujah to western areas, all the way to al-Khalidiya and Ramadi".
