Airstrikes target ISIL sites in Salaheddine, Ramadi

An Iraqi airstrike killed eight "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) elements in Salaheddine province in al-Sheikh Ali area, the Iraqi Ministry of Defence said Thursday (August 11th).

“Eight terrorists were killed, others were wounded and one vehicle was destroyed in the airstrike,” the ministry said in a statement.

Coalition aircraft also killed two ISIL elements and destroyed a weapons cache near Ramadi, Anbar Military Operations Commander Maj. Gen. Ismail al-Mahalawi said Thursday.

“One large weapons cache was destroyed and two ISIL elements were killed in two separate operations carried out by the international coalition and Iraqi forces north and east of Ramadi,” al-Mahalawi told Diyaruna.

“International coalition fighter jets targeted an ISIL weapons and ammunition cache in al-Jaraishi, north of Ramadi, fully destroying it,” he said.
