Iraqi forces arrested seven terror suspects in a security operation in Bani Saad, 20 kilometres south-west of Baqubah, Iraqi police in Diyala province said Thursday (July 21st).
“The detainees had carried out terrorist operations, including blowing up Bani Saad Husseiniya and the civil status administration in the area; rigging four houses with explosives; and launching an armed attack on al-Askari neighbourhood,” Diyala police spokesman Ghaleb al-Attia said in a statement.
The suspects, he said, were also involved in killing civilians in Baghdad and robbery.
