Iraqi police in Baghdad arrested a nine-member terror cell that was planning operations for the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL), the Interior Ministry said Friday (July 15th).
“Forces from the Counter-Terrorism Agency and Intelligence Agency dismantled a terror cell led by a senior ISIL element during various security operations carried out across Baghdad in the past two days,” ministry spokesman Brig. Gen. Saad Maan told Al-Shorfa.
“Explosives, weapons and ammunition intended to be used by the terrorists in their operations against citizens and security personnel have been seized in the operation,” he said.
